FAQ
Does the tag come with a way to attach to the collar?Â
Yes, our tags come with multiple solid brass split rings.Â
How thick are the tags?Â
Our circle and diamond shaped tags are a hefty 1/8th inch thick (3.175mm). This is more than the thickness of two pennies stacked together. Â
Our washer shaped dog tags are 14 gauge thickness.
What is the diameter of the tags?Â
Our tags range from 1 inch to 1 1/4 inch.Â
Can I add two phone numbers on the back?
Yes, our diamond-shaped tag and round tag can have a second phone number on the back.Â
Can I add reward or chipped to the back of the tag?Â
Yes, on the diamond-shaped and round tag you can have reward or chipped instead of a second phone number. Type reward or chipped in the Phone Number Two box. Any other requests are considered custom and you should contact us before placing the order.Â
How many characters will fit on the front of the tags?
There are limits to the amount of characters that will fit on the front of our tags. See each listing for details.Â
What does hand-stamped mean?
A steel stamp is individually placed and hammered into the brass leaving a deep permanent impression that will not wear off. Hand stamping has a more organic look than machine etching and slight imperfections are part of its charm. However, we try very hard to ensure things are aligned and spaced correctly.
How long will it take for my order to ship?
Due to the personalization nature of our tags, they are created and will ship within 1-3 days.
What is your return policy?
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase please reach out to us. If your tag is personalized with a name and/or phone number we cannot accept returns however if there was an error on our part we will correct it.Â
What material is the tag made of and how do I care for it?
Our tags and split rings are made of solid brass. There is no plating to wear off. Your dog’s brass tag will last! Over time the tag will tarnish and take on an antique gold color. This can happen faster due to the oils in your pet’s skin. Light tarnish can be removed by rubbing the tag with a polishing cloth. Lightly buffing the tag with #0000 steel wool can remove tarnish and restore shine without chemicals.Â
